ND would have won. Without a doubt. I can find 10 plays in every single game Kizer has played where if he just found the open guy, usually the one 8 yards right in front of his face, it would have completely changed the outcome of the game. Furthermore, I would bet big money if you were able to look at his audibles, he likely checked into the wrong play or out of the right play over 70% of the time. I would take this bet blindfolded.
The reason Rees won more games (with less physical talent) is because he understood offense, defense and football. He knew where everyone was and did not have a predetermined read. Kizer doesn't understand any of This.
Brady Quinn was better, Clausen (as much as I hate to say it) was better and Everett Golson was on par with Kizer.
None of those guys made it. Kizer won't make it. He's not a winner. He peaked in High School. Big Kid, not a winner.
