There is not a remarkable ready-to-start QB out there in this draft (barring some Dak Prescott level surprise). He's not ready to start in the NFL, but only a stupid team would draft him to do so. His prototypical size and arm will be a godsend to a team that is willing to develop him behind an older QB. If I'm Kizer I'd rather take less money this year and get drafted by a good team at the bottom of the first or top of the second like Arizona, than possibly lose the QB competition to Wimbush at some point in the year or, alternatively, do really well and make more upfront money and go to a team like the 49ers or the Browns.
It's better to be Aaron Rodgers than it is to be David Carr.
