Love the way a lot of people jumped onto the "Fire BVG" bandwagon just before it happened. They forget that he had a dynamic defense the first year up til the time Joe Schmidt got hurt for the season and Morgan had to take over for him. The defense immediately went down and everybody blamed the loss of JS and lack of experience. His second year, we lost half the defense to injury. Jarron Jones, Russell, et al. Again, all we had to do was hang on for 30 seconds against Stanford and we would have probably been in the playoffs. Then last years disaster. Don't disagree with his firing and maybe it was too complicated, but it didn't help that we lost 14 guys including Jaylon to the NFL and all four returning defensive backs in addition. While BK may have had an inkling that he needed to change DC's, it would have been hard to fire a close friend based on the first two years. I also think BK was counting on BVG to simplify his scheme which he never did.
