If he "pulls a rabbit out of his ass" as you stated, and somehow ND wins 10-11 games, he is going to bolt for the next best offer he gets. If the team crashes and burns as they did last year (unlikely), he will probably be terminated. If the squad is mediocre (i.e. 6-6, 7-5), he will remain in purgatory, so to speak, where no one else wants him and ND retains him. No one can convince me that he is not tired of being the coach at Notre Dame. He completely "phoned in" his job last year and it was evident in the w/l record. I completely believe all of the "rumors" of his representatives speaking with other organizations/schools. The man wants out. The only reason he didn't resign last year is because there were no worthwhile takers.
