Garopolo wasn't a superior player when he came out and if he went to the Browns, his career would probably be like Clausens. He went to New England and sat and learned for a few years and now the arrow is pointing up for him. Where a QB goes has a huge impact if they are not a top 10 pick because many of the NFL teams, especially the bottom feeders, don't develop QB's. If they aren't the obvious solution after a year, then throw another pick at the position, often a higher rated guy like Newton with Clausen or Rosen for Kizer and then they are leftovers. At that point, they might be able to resurrect their careers, but a lot of that is luck in going to the right place. Also, after a year of failure and replacement their head is often messed up and the head is the key element for a successful QB.
