There were two glaring issues that made a bigger difference than having Coach Moore working with that line.
QB: Brandon Wimbush and his case of the yips... When you can't even complete a 5 yard toss to a wide open receiver, then the offense becomes one dimensional. The fact that we either couldn't or wouldn't run a simple QB sneak on 3rd / 4th and 1 to pick up an easy half yard also makes one wonder...
Play calling: Why not run that QB sneak, as mentioned above? Was Brandon Wimbush's hand so badly damaged that we couldn't risk it?
The line gave the skill players plenty of time and openings, and wasn't to blame for last year's losses. Georgia would have been easily winnable, had we completed just a few more easy passes, as would the Stanford game.
