Anyone who watched the Oregon game couldn't help but notice the leaping catches of the Stanford wideouts and TE's. The are exceptionally tall and tough to defend as they go up and grab Costello's passes. Our ability to hurry or sack the QB and/or cover their receivers and get some of the 50/50 balls will be the difference. If this game is close in the 4th Q we will probably lose it because or our inability to run the ball into stacked defenses as has happened vs Stanford and in many other games. We must be able to sustain drives in crunch time and we haven't been able to do it for some time with our delayed handoff running game. If we are able to win it, it will be because our Defense held them off as they did against Mich and you can't expect that to happen all the time especially in the closing minutes in 4 down territory.
