Driskell knows a lot and I find his input very informative, especially when it comes to the "why" things go poorly or well. However, there is zero volley back and forth between him and Somogyi. I always enjoy Lou's historical perspective when it comes to ND football. He's like a walking encyclopedia when it comes to ND football history. So when I tune in I want to hear both of them speak. It seemed to be gradually getting worse with Driskell going on for 8-10 minutes at a clip with Lou talking for 30-60 seconds only to get cut off by Driskell.
The most recent podcast seems to be the most ridiculous. I listen in my car a lot while driving to and from work. It takes me between 20-25 minutes to commute to work. I kid you not, during the Stanford review podcast, he spoke the entire ride home from work without a single syllable from Somogyi. That's a 20 + minute diatribe. And when Lou finally got a chance to speak, Driskell cut him off after 15 seconds of speaking. It makes for a terrible listen.
By contrast, Irish Illustrated has 3 guys sharing the mic and deliver a nice even balance of contributions among Prister, O'Malley, and Sampson. In addition, their podcast only runs about 35 minutes. The 10/1 BGI podcast ran 1 hour and 45. That's insane. Thanks for the responses, I was just curious to see if it was just me that feels that Driskell rambled over Lou too much.
