It's not fair to sweep those concerns under the rug.
Did he change his ways? Yes, somewhat. Did he deserve to be criticized? Most certainly. I'll always talk about Tulsa as the perfect example of who Kelly is as a coach and with good reason, it was a stupid coaching job by someone who should know how to coach in a winning way. The problem for Kelly is that stupidity showed all too often. I'm talking Tommy Rees as QB and other decisions he's made.
Don't get me wrong, I've always said Kelly is more than capable, but he either gets in his own way ala Charlie Weiss - the smartest coach in the stadium ego - or doesn't know his own players and coaches. But something was not working and it wasn't lack of experience.
Now suddenly we're all supposed to say it never happened and he's proved us wrong? No way am I doing that. I will say, Finally Kelly you're showing up to the party and being the coach we thought you are and in a way, proving us right.
