He isn't Saban and never will be because there probably won't be another Saban. He's now won 10 or more games in 3 of 4 seasons and is on the verge of his second 12-0 regular season. Considering the 13 years before him, that's pretty damn good. And I honestly never thought he'd reach these heights after 4-8. I was fully on board with giving him the boot and starting over two years ago.
The schedule the next few years looks BRUTAL some years but with the class of 2018 and the class of 2019 lined up, Kelly has Notre Dame in a place where continued success finally looks like it's arrived. It took longer than anyone wanted and it included that 2016 debacle, but I think it's finally here.
