Oklahoma's "13th data point" is Florida Atlantic AND they played Army (who is good), but struggled to win OT. They lost to Texas. They allowed 40 to everyone the back half of the season and had wins of 5, 1, and 3 in 3 of their last 4 games. Oklahoma is pretty, but pretty and deserving are different.
Ohio State played Oregon State, TCU, and Tulane out of conference. They have a 30 point road loss on their resume along with a close 5 point win over Nebraska (no different than ND over Pitt), and allowed 51 to Maryland squeezing that out in OT. Sure...for one week they looked like "Ohio State", but ND under Book has looked like that since Week 4 AND they beat FSU at home with their backup QB by 30.
Additionally, Alabama and Ohio State have BOTH made the playoffs with only "12 data points" AND both had a loss getting there. I have no worry about ND being jumped by any of these teams that have a loss attached to their record.
