Last night's NDSU vs SDSU semi-final playoff revealed three concerns:
1. When a QB slides to prevent contact, he is, ironically, very vulnerable to contact. The SDSU QB was smashed and had to leave the game.
2. Punt returners who are making a fair catch are increasingly crowded and harassed by the punt coverage team. This is why there was a " halo " rule
a few years back.
3. Defensive backs get away with murder while covering receivers: they push, grab jerseys, encircle the receiver with their off arm, and establish
contact before the ball arrives. What's a catch? What's pass interference?
