Not that it matters much since we're all in agreement, but football rules guru Pereira first tweeted to say the fumble call shouldn't have been overturned (inconclusive video did not show ball out of bounds) and then in response to people incorrectly thinking the ND player who came back onto the field from out of bounds wasn't allowed to touch the ball (he was, just needed to re-establish self backin bounds first, which he did).
Why do they have replay guidelines if replay officials are just going to wing it? No camera angle showed the ball on the boundary line or any player out of bounds while touching the ball. Not a single replay was conclusive about ajything other than the fact the on-field call should've stood.
