Some combination of superior recruiting and a QB-friendly offense has enabled Southern Cal to win with their first-team, second-team and now third-team QBs in consecutive weeks. Their original starter, Daniels, was lost for the year in the first game with an ACL. So, they plugged in their #2, Slovis, and whipped Stanfert. Slovis got a concussion early in Game Three against #10 Utah and the third-stringer, Fink, put up very good numbers in their win yesterday. I wonder if they have another surprise available if Fink gets hurt.
Some other programs have so many outstanding QBs that they staff other teams, such as Ohio State or Oklahoma.
Notre Dame under Kelly can't seem to recruit or develop even one superior QB.
