It's so sad being an Irish Fan anymore.
Its become so negative by so many.
I get that we need to win another NC and that we need to get better players.
The only thing we ( the non coaches and non players) can do is support the team.
I know the majority still is positive and all but games at ND stadium are often a joke.
I hear from many that the 2005 USC game was as loud as any stadium they have been too, but that was years ago.
The Michigan game 2 years ago was great but day games cant match night games that are built up like the Georgia game.
The down in front fans drive me crazy. I have been removed from one game ( along with my traveling group because we stood to much.
It was a low point for me and my ND experience's.
ND has become too rich..to old..to conservative in their approach to games.
Take a look on the TV when the cameras are focusing on the players on the field and it happens to show the VIP seats on the east end of the stadium. They are often empty.
I have had the luxury of being with a VIP standing member and watching the game from the other press box and the GOLD seats.
80% of them are inside eating chatting and socializing while the game is going on.
I finally said im going down to my seat and watched and cheered.
Thank God for our wonderful students. 8,000 total and they create the noise of at least 15,000.
They should post signs that tell everyone...This is a sporting event. Your team is Notre Dame and the players need you. If you care to sit and not cheer be warned..you may want to stay away and go watch the game at a hotel or bar.
Thanks for getting me worked up Frankie V !!!
