They did not turn the ball over. They ran the ball effectively. They were efficient. They wore down the defense so that we could put the game away on the ground.
They had three long scoring drives, a decent drive that turned into a missed field goal, and easily took care of business when given the ball on the 10 yard line.
People seem to ignore that the defense had a hell of a time stopping Virginia in the first half. At the half, the VA QB was 18-22 for over 230 yards. We made great adjustments, and the D played superbly in the second half. But the offense helped bail out the defense in the first half by keeping VA's offense off the field during three decent drives.
The thing people should be completely pissed about is Special Teams. An onside kick and muffed punt are serious turnovers (something the offense did not do). The missed field goal was kind of long, but it certainly didn't help to miss that one.
