Our first punt was with 2:30 left in the first half. Our first three drives ended in two TDs and a missed FG. The half was nearly over before we got the ball a fourth time. We also got a fifth possession at our own 25 yard line with 43 seconds left, which ended in a punt. I don't count that as meaning much.
In the second half, we punted once, and immediately after scored a TD (the defense made it a short field, but that's not the Offense's fault). So basically, the first seven times they had the ball, they scored three touchdowns, had a good drive that ended in a missed field goal, and three punts (one of which was meaningless).
Even after the defensive fumble return made it 28-17, the offense mounted another long TD drive to make it 35-17.
I think people are taking themselves out of the reality of the game to find fault here.
