I was impressed by his willingness to overhaul many things after 2016. So he has shown he's willing to change, and hopefully, starting after this season, we see a couple more:
- Hire a GOOD O-coordinator and get out of his way;
- Quit playing players just because they have the right "traits" (i.e., making the fewest mistakes) and let the more talented players play.
Kelly has played it safe far too long, which is why it took him so long to make the needed changes for Kelly 2.0. It's also why he stays with players far too long - either that, or he is loyal to a fault.
So when you say players are "uninspired," I think you are correct, because BK tries too hard to avoid mistakes and plays not to lose. And that rubs off.
