Since I do scientific research on diseases, I can provide a very accurate diagnosis of his situation.
Urban Meyer suffers from various ailments, such as thuggery, academic dishonesty, and rampant criminal activity among his mercenaries, er, players. Normally, these ailments don't bother him one bit, unless an extenuating factor is introduced in the way of disciplinary scrutiny.
Once scrutiny has been introduced into his system, the ailments begin to overwhelm him. This can be temporarily alleviated by his producing exceptionally good seasons, and national championships can help postpone the increasing of the disciplinary scrutiny. Eventually, though, the scrutiny cannot be held back, and he simply disappears from the coaching scene, which results in his getting a clean slate.
Given the amount of time that has progressed since his last abandonment of the coaching scene, I'm pretty sure he's gotten a reset of his health, and will feel fine until the next wave of scrutiny hits him.
