Agree that “garbage time reps” are not as significant as meaningful practice reps, for the most part. But real game experience is important too, and can’t be fully simulated in practice. I defend Kelly a lot here, but I think there is some validity to this particular observation/complaint. I can’t really see a reason for Clark and/or Pyne or both to have not gotten more opportunities in lopsided games. Big picture, I don’t think it is a huge deal. I agree with what Urban Meyer said this week: that Kelly is “coach of the year.”
