I saw a lot of immediate negative reaction from Notre Dame fans and how it'll be bad for recruiting, but essentially, Notre Dame is saying that they want their players to be compensated as opposed to say other coaches like Dabo who whine about quitting if players start getting paid. Notre Dame's stance on NIL has been pretty clear all along and when they're giving their recruiting pitches to say a high profile recruit, they can point to their now very public stance on players getting compensated for their likeness being used as a positive. That has the potential to be a very, very screwd move by Notre Dame.
