I guess we could throw out the most recent Freeman hagiography – "Freeman’s ability to push players past their limits and maximize their potential through authentic relationships comes without any of the bullying, patronizing and berating so often associated with coaching" – given that bullying, patronizing and berating are Hiestand's modi operandi. And all that stuff about loving recruiting being essential, well, throw that out too.
I'm sure the high priests of the South Bend chapter of the Church of Hiestand (Hansen, Sampson, Prister and Driskell) – the only chapter – will have spontaneous ejaculations but I will remember what an asshole he is and that in his long, "storied" career he has twice ...TWICE (2015 and 2017) ... produced rushing attacks above the NCAA average.
