Dante Moore seems to be a pretty smart kid.
I understand that Zaire felt like he got screwed at ND, since he went from the super hot starting QB (after one game in 2015) to a bench warmer in 2016, but the fact still remains that he was far inferior of a QB compared to Kizer, and he was still given ample opportunities in 2016, despite Kizer being very productive.
Also, he had a chance for a fresh start at Florida, where the QB competition was pretty weak. It's no secret that Zaire bombed out at Florida, losing out on the QB competition to a freshman at the time (Franks). If his alleged negativity had anything to do with ND "keeping the real man down," I doubt he would have been able to sell that line to Moore. He had opportunities to prove himself and simply didn't come through.
Basically, Dante Moore wants early playing time, and Oregon gives him a perfect opportunity to do so. If he's as good as advertised, then he'll definitely have a chance to be a starter from day one, assuming Bo Nix doesn't take a 5th year.
Even if Nix does take a 5th year, waiting one year for an all but guaranteed starting position is better than what he might have faced at Michigan, where the potential superstar, JJ McCarthy, would have at least two years left.
