They gave up 5 Freakin touchdowns today. When they get scored on, teams are going the length of the field with bombs and/or ass kicking long drives. That high powered Marshall offense that managed to score 7 points today against Troy ran the ball down their throats. They are fortunate that when they played Ohio State it was the first game of the year, their passing game was a little rusty, and their best receiver was out. And in the end Ohio State still ran all over them. They couldn't keep Cal off the field in long yardage situations on 3rd and 4th down. How many points per game they allowed doesn't tell the story. It is how and when they give those points up that has demonstrated how fundamentally poor this defense has played.
