I agreed but I made the note that we weren't sure who was responsible. Cam has been getting trashed pretty hard for that play.
Your second post then went beyond that play Bestival acting like I was saying everything is fine, which I was not.
Now you're saying you weren't calling out a specific player, which you didn't, I was just trying myself to get folks to realize we don't know everything and to also not call out specific players for it.
I think overall we agree. The defense still has work to do. But let's also recognize that they did pretty well against an offense that was getting back two of its main weapons and had been considered pretty damn good going into the game. They did this after losing Ramon Henderson before the game and DJ Brown in the first half. The kid went 17/32 for 301. Yes he had 5 TDs, but those aren't Heisman numbers. Just about half his yards came on the two broken coverages, and Bracy was playing safety on the 4th and 21.
Overall the defense caused their offense problems most of the day. There are still certainly teachable moments to be had from this performance though.
