1. Why is almost EVERY first down play a run straight up the middle, for no gain... followed up by a second down run staright up the middle... for no gain? Does anyone on the planet think we're going to do something
else?
2. Do they teach tackling at Notre Dame? You know, like at the KNEES!!!!!! Asking for a friend.
3. Love Michael Mayer... but is he the only pass receiver we have? I mean, I see a whole bunch of other Notre Dame players on the sidelines... maybe one or two of them can catch passes, too.
4. I always heard that rushing the quartebrack threw off the timing of his passes... maybe we should try that once in a while.
5. Our players DO understabnd that football is played for FOUR QUARTERS, not just half of one quarter... right?
6. If Notre Dame can complete quick slant passes to the sideline during the last 3 minutes... why can't we do that for the first 57 minutes? Maybe someone should suggest that to the coaching staff.
7. Can Freeman get in the face of lousy officials when they make lousy calls? I see other team's head coaches doing that. Maybe Freeman should give it a try.
8. And speaking of "getting in people's faces," does Freeman understand he can get in the faces of players and raise hell with them when they do dumb things? Maybe being the "head coach" of the players would work
better than being the "head best friend" of the players. Maybe Freeman should also give that a try.
7. Does Marcus Freeman think this sloppy, disorganized, uninsprired play is going to win him supporters? If so, he needs to rethink that because we don't care about his color, we only care about winning, and he ain't
getting that done so far.
8. And one last thing... the coaching staff does know that when Notre Dame is on fourth down and on the two yard line we don't ALWAYS have to run it right up the middle. Don't they know that? They can try a run to the left, or to the right, or try a pass into the end zone. That seems to work sometimes. In other words...
QUIT BEING SO GOD DAMNED PREDICATBLE ALL THE TIME!!!!
Whaddya think?
