I was a paid subscriber and quit because of his points of view. I'll give you a couple and maybe you can tell me where his assessments were right:
1. When Dante Moore began to slip away, he heavily critiqued those who opined that maybe we should move on and recruit another QB;
2. He loved Rees without reserve;
3. He thought the Freeman hiring was the best and consistently claimed that he would take Notre Dame to the next level. No nuance whatsoever.
4. He thought Buchner was just going to play lights out and ridiculed those who thought that maybe he wasn't a very good passer and that he was injury prone.
5. He was staunchly against getting a QB in the portal because of the above;
6. He predicted a victory over Ohio State, smh;
7. He predicted 11-1
8. He thought Rees was restrained by Kelly (he was right but for the opposite reason);
He has no nuance. He never acknowledged that maybe Freeman would need some time to gain experience and thought he would lead us to 11-1, no problem. He was wrong on so many accounts showed disdain to those who didn't agree with him. I'm not making this stuff up. Everything above is 100% true. To sum it up, he was dead wrong on almost all accounts. Just ask him if any of the above points are wrong. I didn't renew my subscription and am quite happy to have replace it by Irish Illustrated with Tim Prister, Tom O'Malley, Loy and co. Even they had shown doubts about Buchner.
Now tell me, where was he right? He is just now starting to see the light, but surely not before the season began. I'ts too bad because he works his butt off, as well as his staff.
