can't run that well when the pocket caves. He can't stand in and throw against it. And he honestly can't see when they get that close that quickly.
So, checking down to a back is a lot easier said than done for Pyne. A 6'4" QB can easily see the check down and flip it over the top of the line. Pyne can't see the check down with all the big guys towering over him and has a very hard time getting the ball over top of them when they are that close.
It is the same reason that I think he oftentimes locks onto a single receiver. It's hard enough for him to track a WR between the windows in between lineman and often too much for him to try to find another receiver in a window available to him at the time.
The more I watch, the more I realize how much Pyne's lack of height and associated inability to see the field plays into this.
