He's an adult, and I'll respect his right to make a choice

I don't agree with him, of course, and think that once you're committed, that you should stick with the commitment, but in the end, he is his own man, and made his choice.

I'm sure the $$$ was significant, and that as an 18 year old kid, that kind of money up front can be tantalizing for sure.

The ND degree would have been more valuable in the long run, especially with the services given to its students and alumni when it comes to career placement, but in this day and age, it's hard to see the long term view when there's hundreds of thousands of dollars right in front of you.
