I'm thinking that Buchner's performance yesterday might just induce some hesitation in top portal QB

ND may not be able to take a transfer QB - They're well over the scolli's on the team.

To be clear, I lean strongly toward 'Home Grown' talent development...but, given our own QB using

Buchner is still a big ? mark and he’s injury prone. They’d be nuts not to get Hartman if he will

I'd be fine not going to the portal but it is dangerous as there is really not much depth at the

With the portal and NIL, college football is becoming more like corporate America Talent Management

The key component is they develop that raw talent, something we’ve shown little ability for at that

I've been saying this for months; short term fix isn't the way to go

Football is a brutal sport and it's wise to have talented backups.

I agree. Develop the talent. Buchner and the OLine dominated

I’m ok with it and using the portal strategically but only to supplement

So we just give up on Buchner?

Buchner has 3 years of eligibility left. IF he doesn’t win the job

ND has played the potential/development card too often the past 30 years.

We are thin at QB and need depth. + whatever role they have for him, he seems ok with it.

give up or let him develop? Not much time to develop if playoffs are the goal.

Buchner could still win the starting job. Freeman isn't going to guarantee anything to a transfer.
