By taking this one and done player MF has disrupted the locker room and taken a away valuable practice snaps away from Buchner and Angeli (as well as the entire offensive unit) as well as game time experience. The entire offense will now need to wait for Hartman to learn a pro style O and the playbook.

I reject the idea Hartman is some sort of savior when his stats and play resemble and identify him not as an elite QB but as just better than a middle of the road player.

I suppose it would be a good move if Buchner had shown he wasn’t up to the task, but the opposite is true. This just says to me, Rees and MF are unable to develop QB’s.

On a side note:
ND winning championships is a good thing but in the end, this is college/university where education is still supposed to be a priority and not a farm system feeding the university with the deepest pockets.
