Saban strikes me as very bottom line oriented - win. How many second-half meltdowns and high-risk, low-reward playcalls will he allow before he corrects Rees in a harsh way? Far fewer than MF, I'd imagine.
That said, I think the coaching profession is something of a brotherhood and there is an odd interest and loyalty once you are in. One of my son's friends plays FB with the son of one of Michigan's coaches, and he said that it's a very small circle and loyalty is key. So, by virtue of his dad, I think Rees is getting opportunities that others may not, plus there's probably something there that the better coaches see in him.
All fairly interesting to me - and it seems more nuanced than the outside appearance to us fan types.
