While Rees may have been a good choice as a QB coach at ND in 2017, he was woefully underqualified to get the OC job and only got it because no real, reputable, qualified OC would work for Kelly.
And it showed.
Rees would have been better served had he taken an OC job after his QB coach stint under an offensive oriented head coach and gotten exposure to other offensive systems.
Alabama may rack up lots of impressive offensive stats but that doesn't make Rees the offense-maven some think he is.
5 years from now, it will either be "holy cow" or "what was he thinking?"
