I know that someone's going to point out how Mac Jones was a 3 star player, or how various 2 star players manage to get become 1st round picks. That's not in dispute at all.
People just need to realize that there's such a small pool of 5 star players, and a huge pool of 2 and 3 star players, that the numbers are going to dictate that you'll find a fair number of hidden gems among that lower star talent pool. Out of all of the 5 star players, there's no doubt that a higher percentage of them are going to succeed (meaning, they get drafted, or drafted early, etc) compared to the lower star folks.
If you get 5 star talent, then those players are more likely to succeed, as long as their coaches don't destroy them.
