As an old foggy alum… I cherish the notion that these are fellow students… who walked the campus… to the same classes… in the winter! I can remember Terry Hanratty living down the hall of my dorm while he was on the cover of Time! I hooped with him and was at parties with him. One of my best friends was a guard who only played as a starter his senior year. He also was a mechanical engineering major with close to a 4.0 average (before grade inflation). He helped me out with some problems in physics. I’m sure both my friend and Terry Hanratty deeply cherish their experience as Notre Dame Students.
These are life experiences that transfees will not have to cherish. Nonetheless, I understand and appreciate their feelings RIGHT NOW!
