He's very realistic about trying to get a NFL career, and knows that most people either won't make it to the NFL, or if they do, it's for a short time. He also seems to be an unselfish kid who doesn't mind playing whatever position is in need.
His father, Tony Sacca, who terrorized us for two years (1990 and especially 1991) had first hand experience when it came to how short a NFL career can be. He was a 2nd round draft pick, and expected to be the next starter in Phoenix, but it simply didn't pan out, and he was out of the NFL after his rookie year. I was actually quite surprised at how short his NFL stint was, considering his draft position and his physical qualities. I'm also surprised nobody else picked him up after he got cut from the Cardinals.
A lot of Anthony Sacca's level headed outlook probably comes from the wisdom that his father imparted to him about how cruel and / or short football careers can be.
