Payne looked much more nimble and Love looks a lot more like a WR. The RBs will be loaded again.
Carr looked very Book-like in his presence, but much more of a traditional style QB than Book was. Maybe it was just the number. He actually looked a little better than Angeli on the whole. A lot of upside with Carr, he's pretty complete relative to his age. Carr's balls were tight, with zip, and in great spots for WRs to make a play after the catch. Book did this very well. We've been missing this more a large chunk of the 2000s era.
The QB room is finally deep. Overall depth is also looking good (better).
LBs looked good.
Minchey is a long way away from competing with Angeli and Carr.
The offensive game plan was more complete than what we've been watching the last 3 or 4 years. You could tell someone with experience was calling plays. The best part was, it didn't feel like Kelly ball, even though Denbrock is a Kelly guy.
