4 year starter, and in 1990 he cleared the way for Jon Vaughn to run over us for 200+ yards. In 1991, he cleared the way for Ricky Powers to get 4 yards a carry every damned time... He was a 320 lb monster back in the days where 280 lb offensive linemen were the norm, and 300 lb linemen were considered "jumbo."
At the end of the year, there was a lot of talk of Greg Skrepanek being a top 10 pick, but because he had a really bad NFL Combine showing, he dropped to the 2nd round. I remember Mirko Jurkovic telling me after the 1992 combine, that Skrepanek had one of the worst showings out of all of the linemen, running a 5.5 40 time, and only putting up 16 reps of the bench press. He actually refused to do most of the drills after that bad showing.
He was actually lucky to be selected in the 2nd round, since his bad attitude really soured a lot of NFL scouts.
He did have a good pro career, though. I'll definitely give him that, since he was a multi-year starter.
The same can't be said about his political career, though. I think he got busted for corruption back in the late 2000's, and was plenty pissed that the Democratic Party didn't come to his rescue.
