His time with the Texans was actually pretty good, winning the division championship 4 times out of 7 seasons.
I think he would have done much better during his time with the Texans had he simply been the head coach, and not tried to be the GM as well.
If anything, his time as Alabama's OC showed how strong of a presence he was. One season of Tommy Rees as the OC there made everyone miss him.
