Not mentioned is that he is also playing with a lot of backups or that he has far fewer reps with the first team in practice. Or the simple fact that we are capable of recognizing many of an individual's talents regardless of who they play with or against.

Angeli is an excellent pocket passer with all the requisite skills and talents that requires. He throws the ball on time and on the money. He does this consistently. He makes great pre-snap reads and goes through progressions well. Plenty of speed and strength to be functional as a runner. Athletic enough and good enough at throwing on the run to be successful in this regard as well. Boy does he throw a nice ball.

What we saw today from Angeli is what we've seen every single time we've seen him, and over the past three years we've seen him plenty. I think we can draw some conclusions. The kid's good and we're a better team with him right now. I wonder how good he would be if he got the 1st team reps and full investment of the coaching staff.

If we stick with Leonard, I'm going to hope he somehow "gets it" with passing but I don't see it happening. I'm also not sure he can make it through the season given the ways he's had to be played. But I'm going to be pulling for whoever we put back there to be great because we will need them to be successful.
