Same old story. If the stars align, we’re a top 10 team; if they don’t we’re top 25.

Once every 15 years, we’re a top 5 team.

Since the Davie era, we’ve had a hard time lining up our offensive & defensive talent. We either have D bailing out a mediocre offense, of O saving an above average but not great defense.

Not once have we had a great D and great O.

And I’ll add with Freeman that while his recruiting class rankings are good, his on-field product isn’t outperforming Kelly his last 5 years.

So, I’d say this is what ND is willing to do and no more. It’s the Chicago Cubs mantra. Do enough to keep the suckers coming back and nothing more.

Imposing corporate abuse, neglect and greed on deserving victims.

  • We are a Louisville level team in year 3 of Freeman with a loss to a MAC team. To the kumbaya guys, - Frank L - 1:51pm 9/29/24 (23) [View All]
    • My feeling is had Angeli started we'd be 5-0 and scoring 30 points minimum per game. - DiscoRick - 4:41pm 9/29/24

        • But Ive seen enough from RL's passing to know Angeli is better at that. [NT] - DiscoRick - 8:38pm 9/29/24

    • SEC has 4 of top 5 and 9 in top 25... which roughly coincides with their recruiting rankings. [LINK] - Curly1918 - 2:41pm 9/29/24
    • It’s average for us for 30 years. 8 to 15 ranking is about right - ndphysics - 2:21pm 9/29/24

      • So how do we explain the losses to Marshall, Stanford, and NIU in the Freeman era? - Frank L - 2:04pm 9/29/24
        • NIU was on Freeman. Stanford on Freeman, P12 refs & Kelly's QBs. Marshall mostly on Kelly QBs. [NT] - ND521 - 2:19pm 9/29/24
