On top of improving year over year the past three years, it looks like Freeman has developed a culture that I have not seen since Lou Holtz teams. I know culture is a banal word, but the culture goes beyond the field. I think one of the reasons why the administratrion, or whoever truly pulls the strings at N.D. has started to buy in, is because of Freeman's authenticity and embrace of all things N.D., not just football. He appears to be all in for all sports and academics. Weis, and Kelly did not, or could not display all of what Freeman has been doing.
Now, does this equate to National Championships? That still is left to be scene. What I have noticed is not only the elevation of the coaching, and athletes, but the elevation of the support from the school. That bodes well for the future. BK is practically begging for more NIL at L.S.U., as it that is the easiest fix.
