I thought I saw something about an osteochondrial lesion

But I can’t find the reference to that. That would make some sense since he was essentially legwhipped.

From what I’ve read, it’s an injury to the cartilage in the area of the talus (which is where the tibia and fibula meet the ankle). Cartilage injuries notoriously take a long time to heal because there is no blood supply to that type of tissue. Medical professionals can correct me if I’m off with any of this.

HIPPA laws likely come into play as far as official info from team.
