The man was so good, that in 2014 and 2015, he covered up a shitload of ineptitude on Van Gorder's part.
The man was a great tackler and could take on the strongest RB's and get the better of them.
He was also amazing in pass coverage, where unless the receiver's name were Will Fuller, he could easily cover them.
We weren't even using him in his best capability throughout those years, since he was too valuable in coverage. The fact that he had only one sack in 2015 (3.5 sacks in 2014) was flat-out criminal.
I have no doubt that he would have been a perennial Pro-Bowler if he had been healthy.
