Mind you, I don't believe this is why ND won. They won because they're the better team. I just don't think Kirby believed we had the physical toughness or speed to go head to head with the vaunted SEC champion. He won't make the same mistake twice if we should meet down the road.
No doubt ND is good, but I still feel the mantra of "ND hasn't played anyone" had an effect.
