He is the epitome of what Notre Dame stands for and his parents must be incredibly proud of the son they have raised. Similarly I had doubts about Marcus Freeman but Notre Dame struck gold when they hired him as DC and elevated him to HC. I had significant doubts about both of them. They are incredible spokesmen for what Notre Dame truly stands for which is a top notch center of learning and Christianity and as a side benefit a heck of a football program. Both are selfless in a world and in a sport where many people of influence are selfish. I’m not a Bible thumper like RL is but still respect the hell out of what an incredibly fine young man he is. Very interesting how he roomed with Will Howard last summer at the Manning QB camp. Clearly RL also understands role models and men of influence in his life.
