Chase Claypool was the last unquestioned WR1 we had.
Kevin Austin was about as close as it got in 2021.
Given the quarterback situation in 2022, nobody in the WR corps was going to be that guy.
In 2023 and 2024, we had a bunch of guys who put up decent numbers that were on par with someone being a WR2, but still no dominant receiver.
I hope Greathouse or Faison can take the opportunity to become that guy. If one of the transfers do it, then that's fine as well, but I'd really like to see the home-grown talent thrive.
