Does he have the discipline and patience?
His college stats were overinflated, due to Deion Sanders running that hybrid system between run 'n shoot and spread-option. There was very little running game in Colorado last year, and Shedeur Sanders had the best player in all of college football (Travis Hunter) as his WR1, as well as a ball hawk who helped get him all of those possessions.
Travis Hunter was absolutely unstoppable, that he could beat most double coverages, even on poorly thrown balls, and covered up a lot of flaws in Sanders' QB performance.
If anything, it's a lot like our situation in 2022, where Mike Mayer covered up a lot of flaws in Drew Pyne. Those numbers put up by Pyne were very deceiving. On paper, they looked quite good, but when someone reads the fine print, or read the whole story, anyone who wasn't part of the Drew Pyne Fan(atic) Club knew that he was the limitation.
