The conference champions were good teams, but weren't nearly as good as their rankings would indicate, with maybe the exception of Georgia.

That being said, it would have been awfully nice for us to have a bye. We lost Rylie Mills and Anthonie Knapp during that Indiana game, and Howard Cross, who was at best, at 85% strength, got banged up.

That plus Jeremiyah Love could have used a week of rest to truly get to full strength. He wasn't anywhere near his top level for the playoffs, even though he definitely came through in the clutch. Just think what he'll do this year, fully healthy and with another year of strength and conditioning.
