And he's forgiving of human error

That's one of the biggest differences between the team under his command versus the teams under Brian Kelly's command.

If someone makes a major mistake, Coach Freeman is willing to give that player another shot, and willing to coach him through it. Players are much more at ease when it comes to cutting loose, knowing that they don't have to walk on eggshells.

Brian Kelly would simply banish you to the bench, while installing one of his "right kind of guys" at that position instead. The only way you'd get another shot is if the RKG ended up injured and unable to go.
